Designing connections - not just websites

Oct 7, 2025

Some projects stay with you long after they’re finished.
They evolve, grow, and remind you why you started designing in the first place.
This one did exactly that - because it wasn’t just about a website.
It was about connection, trust, and creativity shared between two women who speak the same visual language. That’s how it was with Edyta.

We met while working on a project together. From the very beginning, I loved her approach - professional, detail-oriented, with a clear vision and a strong sense of direction. She knew what she wanted to achieve and how to communicate it.
And whenever her creative vision ran into a technical wall - that’s where I stepped in to bring it to life.

At some point, she shared a new project she was working on and asked if I could build the website for it. I didn’t hesitate for a second.

This is one of those projects I keep coming back to - just to look at it.
Because I genuinely enjoy it. I love how it feels, how it looks. Maybe because I know the whole story behind it. Maybe because I just love Edyta’s style - not only how she writes, but how she presents her photographs (and they’re phenomenal!).

What we also have in common is photography.
For me it’s something from the past - I’m fully focused on design now - but Edyta lives and breathes it, professionally and creatively.
So when we collaborate, we quickly find a common language.
Spending time with her - listening to her stories about travels, about birds, about creativity, about how her lifestyle shapes the way she sees the world - always leaves me inspired and understood.

Being a creative person has its light and dark sides.
Not everyone close to us understands that sometimes we need inspiration, and other times - isolation, to find our flow again.
That we often feel things deeply, process reality intensely, and need space to recharge.

That’s why I’m so grateful Edyta crossed my path.
I feel genuinely honored to have built the space where she can share what she creates.
I’m rooting for her always - she’s one of the most talented people I’ve ever met.

What you might not know about Edyta - but should:

  1. She runs a beautiful travel & photography blog where her storytelling and visuals take you straight into the places she writes about. You’ll feel like you’re there - and you’ll stay until the last sentence.

  2. She writes travel articles for the Szczecin-based magazine Prestiż.

  3. She’s photographed incredible people like Katarzyna Figura and Zbigniew Wodecki, and has worked on numerous cover, commercial, business, and lifestyle shoots.

  4. She masterfully blends photography with design - working on brand visuals, social media graphics, banners, and print materials.

  5. Since 2017, she’s been creating an author project about the symbolic role of birds in human culture - traveling through 58 countries, collecting stories, myths, and over 230 unique photographs of feathers.
The project is supported by the Museum and Institute of Zoology of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and part of her work is featured at the National Museum of Technology in Warsaw.

Why did I dedicate so much space to describing Edyta and this project?
Because I’m genuinely lucky with the people I attract.

Edyta is not the only client whose website I find myself visiting again - just because I want to.
To see how she’s doing, how her work evolves, how the website grows with her. In my next post, I’ll share another story - about another collaboration that turned into a long-term partnership and personal inspiration.

I truly appreciate the fact that I get to work with such incredible clients - creating websites and stores that don’t just show their work, but elevate it.
Design, for me, isn’t about showing off - “here’s the link, here’s what I made.” It’s about co-creating something meaningful that reflects the person behind the brand.

I compared good design to "professional makeup" - it doesn’t change who you are, it highlights what’s already beautiful. I also love this quote: "It isn’t just what you see on the screen - it’s the space you create for someone’s story to live in.”

I’m an empath, a sensitive person.
That’s why I notice details - why I always look at projects more deeply.
With every client and every project, I also learn something new about myself.

And honestly - I’m just grateful.
For the people I meet, for the trust I’m given, and for the fact that I get to grow in an environment that constantly inspires me to reach higher. Without my clients, I simply wouldn’t be here.

It wasn’t always this way, but lately I’ve been trying to lead with what I feel, not what others expect.
So here it is - a long first and not last post, straight from the heart.

See you in the next one.
